Kristen Leonard serves as a contract lobbyist and principle for
an Oregon based government relations firm. Kristen
represents a broad spectrum of clients ranging from labor interests, environmental
projects, human service providers and legal associations.
She serves clients as an advocate, advisor and strategist in working with
the legislature and state administrative agencies.
Prior experience includes working as a Government Relations Consultant for the Oregon
Education Association, representing the interests of the union’s 42,000 school employees
in the Oregon political process. Focusing her work on campaigns and elections, Leonard has had a key role in ballot measure campaigns,
progressive coalition building, legislative campaigns, initiative reform legislation,
coordinated campaigns and the advancement of technology in many aspects of
Oregon politics. Kristen also served as a
Legislative Assistant in the 1995 and 1997 Oregon
legislative sessions and has managed campaigns from legislative to county commission.
Leonard is a graduate of
University of Arizona, where she was an honors student receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications
with an emphasis in Political Science and Economics.
Kristen resides in Portland with her husband and son.
